Wiki — Day/Night Cycle
Aetheria has a dynamic day/night cycle that affects lighting and atmosphere. One real hour equals one full Tibia day.
The Cycle
- 1 real hour = 1 Tibia day (1,440 Tibia minutes)
- The cycle advances 4 Tibia minutes every 10 seconds (real time)
- Light levels transition smoothly: Day (250) → Night (40) → Day
Light States
| State | Light Level | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Day | 250 | Full brightness — clear visibility |
| Sunset | Transition | Light fading from day to night |
| Night | 40 | Reduced visibility — light sources matter |
| Sunrise | Transition | Light rising from night to day |
Tibia Time
Tibia time is displayed in-game as HH:MM. It maps to the light cycle: hour 0 = midnight, hour 720 = noon. The server sends time updates to all players.
Gameplay Effects
- Some monsters may behave differently at night (more aggressive, different spawns)
- Light sources (torches, light spells) are more useful at night
- Undead monsters may be more powerful during nighttime hours
