Wiki — Second Screen
Play the idle layer of Aetheria without the game client. From a phone, tablet, or second monitor you can manage expeditions, read mail, and watch the market — and get pinged when your hunter comes home.
Three Ways In
- Portal Command Center — on this portal, open your account page and pick Command Center for a character. Works even while that character is offline: start/recall/collect expeditions, list and cancel market offers, create offers from depot stock, read mail and claim attachments, view depot contents, and claim warden rewards.
- Pocket mode — open the web client with
?pocket=1(or on a narrow screen it is offered automatically). A canvas-free layout with the expedition, chat, market, mail, and warden panels on the same live session. - Push alerts — install the app or enable alerts in pocket mode; the server pushes an expedition-returned notification that deep-links back into pocket mode.
Rules & Safety
- The Command Center takes the same session lock as the game client — a character already online in-game cannot be driven from the portal, and vice versa.
- Every mutating portal form is CSRF-protected; gold-moving actions ask for your password again.
- Expeditions started from the portal behave identically to in-game ones — same zones, supplies, pulls, and outcomes (see Expeditions).
- Push delivery self-heals: dead browser subscriptions are pruned automatically when a push service reports them gone.
Enabling Alerts
- Open pocket mode on HTTPS, log in, and tap Enable alerts in the header. Desktop Chrome/Edge and Android Chrome are the reliable targets.
- iOS: Safari only exposes push after you Add to Home Screen — install the app first, then enable alerts from inside it.
- Notification clicks deep-link into
/app/?pocket=1so you land on the expedition panel ready to collect.
