Wiki — Binding Choices: Vows, Oaths & Pacts
Four permanent, irreversible decisions that grant powerful bonuses in exchange for significant restrictions. Choose carefully — there is no going back.
Crimson Oath
"Bind thy blade to a single form, and let it drink deep of the enemy's blood."
| Bonus | +15% damage with the chosen weapon type |
|---|---|
| Restriction | Cannot use any other weapon type — forever |
| When | Available at any level |
Choose your weapon type carefully. The bonus applies to all attacks made with that weapon type, but you will never be able to equip or use any other weapon type again.
Ironsworn Vow
"Swear off the market's gold, and the world shall reward thee in kind."
| Bonus | +10% loot drop chance, +5% gold from kills |
|---|---|
| Restriction | Cannot use market, trade, or mail — completely self-sufficient |
| When | Available at any level |
You become entirely self-reliant — everything you need must be found, crafted, or earned through combat. In exchange, the world rewards you with better drops and more gold from kills.
Hollow Pact
"Sacrifice thy vitality for the power to strike with overwhelming force."
| Bonus | +50% damage dealt |
|---|---|
| Restriction | -30% max HP, no spell-based healing (potions still work) |
| When | Available at level 50+ |
A glass cannon build. You hit harder than anyone else, but you're fragile and can't rely on healing spells to survive. Potions and regeneration are your only sources of healing.
Soul Forge
"Burn away a part of thy soul to ignite the rest with searing power."
| Bonus | +40% effectiveness on remaining spell categories |
|---|---|
| Restriction | Sacrifice one spell category (attack, healing, support, or summon) — permanently lost |
| When | Available at level 80+ |
Choose one spell category to sacrifice forever. All remaining spell categories gain a massive power boost. This is the ultimate specialization — perfect for players who have found their preferred playstyle.
Stacking
Binding Choices can be stacked — you can swear multiple oaths. However, the restrictions also stack. An Ironsworn Hollow Pact character deals massive damage with great loot but has reduced HP, no spell healing, and no market access.
