Wiki — Expeditions
Send your character hunting while you rest. An expedition is a server-run idle hunt: your character disappears into a zone you have explored, fights on its own, and returns with XP, gold, and loot. This is the intended way to progress while away — it replaces the old client-side hunting bot.
Departing
- Open the Expeditions panel in the game client (native or web), or the Command Center on this portal under your account.
- Pick a hunting ground — only zones you have explored are offered.
- Choose a duration (minimum 30m, steps of 30m) and a pull style.
- Set aside supplies from your backpack — health and mana potions the expedition can burn. Leftovers come back.
- Optionally set an auto-sell threshold: vendor loot worth less than the amount is sold during the run and returned as gold.
- You must depart from a protection zone (temple or depot) and not be in combat. Level 8+ required. Hardcore souls cannot depart.
Pull Styles
- Cautious — engages 1 monster at once; 1x XP rate, 0.6x defeat risk.
- Normal — engages 2 monsters at once; 1.15x XP rate, 1x defeat risk.
- Aggressive — engages 3 monsters at once; 1.3x XP rate, 1.6x defeat risk.
The planner shows a forecast before you depart: expected kills, XP/hour, gold, potion burn, and a defeat-risk percentage with warnings when a zone out-damages your healing or can burst you down.
While Away
- Expeditions earn 0.35x of active-hunt XP — hunting in person always stays the best XP/hour.
- Loot rolls at 35% of the normal drop chance.
- Bestiary kills credit normally.
- The tracker in the client shows the return countdown; you can recall an expedition early (rewards are prorated).
- Starting an expedition while offline-earnings would accrue on the same character is handled — the expedition takes precedence.
Outcomes
- Completed — full duration: rewards sit on the expedition until you Collect (client panel or portal Command Center). Nothing arrives automatically.
- Supplies ran out — the run ends early with whatever it earned so far.
- Driven back (defeat) — the monsters overwhelmed you. You keep 50% of rolled loot, all XP earned, and lose no XP or blessings.
- Recalled — you called it back early; rewards prorate by time spent.
- On collect: XP applies to your character, gold (including auto-sold loot) goes to your bank balance, and items plus leftover supplies land in your depot — not your backpack.
- Collecting while offline (portal) queues the rewards; they drain into your character on next login with a summary toast.
- If you are offline when it resolves, a Ledger mail arrives with the report and a push notification pings your devices (see Second Screen).
Tips
- Read the forecast honestly: cautious is safe almost everywhere; aggressive is a deliberate gamble against burst-heavy zones.
- Stock a real hour's worth of potions — a starved pack ends the run in minutes.
- Your gear matters: armor, defense, elemental absorb, and regeneration all feed the mitigation model exactly like live combat.
- Premium accounts can run expeditions up to 180m; free accounts cap at 60m.
- Manage departures and returns from a phone via the Command Center or pocket mode — no game client needed.
