Quest Walkthroughs Overview
Quests are the heart of Aetheria's narrative. This guide explains how the quest system works.
Quest Chains
Quests are organized into chains — a series of related quests that tell a continuous story:
- MS (Main Story) — 45 quests across all 14 towns. The central narrative.
- MS1.5 (Mid-Story Extension) — Bridges the mid-level gap (Lv 90-270)
- MS2 (Main Story II) — 60 quests continuing into the Soul War endgame (Lv 250-690)
- W1-W18 (Whisper Chains) — Trust of Aetheria questlines with branching choices
- BR (Bridge Quests) — Standalone mid-level quests (Lv 50-65)
- Side Chains (A-O) — Optional side stories in various towns
Quest Types
- kill_task — Kill a specified number of monsters
- boss_kill — Defeat a specific boss
- fetch — Collect and deliver items
- puzzle_defense — Survive waves of monsters
- defense_waves — Multi-wave defense encounters
- escort — Protect an NPC to a destination
- stealth_escort — Escort without being detected
- escort_survival — Escort with survival conditions
Prerequisites
Some quests require completing other quests first. Check the quest page for prerequisite information.
Repeatable Quests
Daily quests (marked with ↻) can be completed once per day for bonus rewards. These are excellent for steady XP and gold income.

Spoiler: Hidden Quest Chains
Some quest chains are not immediately visible:
- Whisper Chains unlock after completing certain MS quests
- Endgame side chains require reaching specific level thresholds
- Faction-specific quests require minimum reputation with the relevant faction
Talk to every NPC in every town — some quest givers don't advertise their quests until you ask.
Quest Rewards
Quests can reward:
- Gold — Direct currency
- XP — Experience points for leveling
- Items — Equipment, consumables, or quest items
- Outfit unlocks — New visual appearances
- Faction reputation — Standing with one of the 10 factions
Tips
- Follow the Main Story first — it unlocks content across all towns
- Don't ignore daily quests — they're the best steady source of rewards
- Check prerequisites before traveling to a quest giver
- Use the quest wiki to plan your questing route efficiently
